A couple weeks ago, Steve and Jill brought their family in for portraits. We created some relationship black and white images and then, after some individual poses of the girls in their spring dresses, we went for a walk in the park to create some natural environment portraits.

Last week, I entered prints into the PPA’s (Professional Photographers of America) regional print judging. This image of 7 month old Lachlan, titled “Hmmm, Maybe I Should Use the Wide Angle,” was judged into the excellent category, received a Judge’s Choice award, and was accepted into the Minnesota Professional Photographers Loan Collection. I was extremely excited, especially because this was my first time entering the competition and also because it was an image of my son that did so well.

On June 28th, I photographed the wedding ceremony and reception of Connie and Mark at their beautiful home on Lake Minnetonka. It was a wonderful casual evening and a lot of fun. Congratulations Connie and Mark!

Kirk - Andover High - Class of 2008

On February 7th, Girl Scout troop 11370 visited the studio to have an informational session about photography. They learned some fundamentals about portrait photography and had a chance to take some portraits of each other with a real studio setup. It was a great time and I really enjoyed meeting all the girls.
